Greetings fellow Bryndle fans - as well as fans of Karla Bonoff, Kenny Edwards and Wendy Waldman.
This is the last mailing for the year and, as we usually do around this time of the year, we've just added the holiday related songs to the website. You'll find a few songs, including "The First Noel" on KarlaBonoff.com and a few others at Bryndle.com - in both cases on the "Sounds" page.
Karla Bonoff finished up her touring schedule for the year but is already planning her 2007 touring schedule and has dates booked into October. More shows will be added as the year goes on but be sure to check for shows near you.
Kenny starts a brief tour this evening as he travels up the California coast. One show that should be a standout is a house concert in Cotati, California this Saturday. Contact mkramer@mattkramer.com
for more information about that show.
Wendy Waldman's new studio recording "My Time in the Desert" has begun shipping and is available exclusively from the Bryndle.com store and the WendyWaldman.com store - in both cases, you're buying directly from the artist and Wendy will be signing the CDs. It's a wonderful album and you can catch some of the reviews on the Bryndle site in Bryndle Chat.
For those of you who haven't seen Wendy Waldman play live in some time, she'll be performing at Kulak's in Southern California just before Christmas. Shows from Kulak's are webcast live and the quality is quite good (if you have a high speed connection) so be sure to check it out on December 22nd.
If you haven't been to the Bryndle site in some time, Bryndle Chat is a new beast, designed to keep spammers out and make posting a bit easier. The discussion is not just about Bryndle and it's members but spills over into just about anything related to music - so please join us with your input.
2006 was an interesting year for all concerned. Karla and her band played in South Korea for four shows this year winning the "Bryndle Award" for getting closest to an active nuclear testing site while on tour. Wendy finished her first studio album of the 21st century. Kenny is starting to put the plans together for his second solo album, which will hopefully see the light of day in 2007. And then there's Andrew. Andrew wins the award for bringing the most musicians to a house concert - EVER! House concerts are usually intimate affairs in people's houses - a chance to see the musicians up close. Andrew played a house concert a few months back with a seven piece band, including Rosemary Butler. That's almost twice the size of the band he played in backing Linda Ronstadt. Crazy year...
Happy Holidays!
- Paul
