I felt like listening to some Kenny music this evening/early morning. The last time Bryndle played together was at a house concert and the best of those two shows were released on CD. This version is not on the CD. Kenny with Karla and Wendy.

And then I moved on to this one.

Sometimes Kenny did a song in Karla's set and I think that's where this came from. This was from a soundboard mix from April 1st 2004. Probably in Berkeley's Freight and Salvage. Nina Gerber on electric guitar. Karla on backing vocals and Kenny is singing lead.

Paul....Thank you for posting those songs for us to listen to again. Kenny's musical talents and influence will be sorely missed by his fans. I mourn for the loss but can also celebrate his life in the many songs of Kenny's that I own. Rest in peace, Kenny, and thanks again for touching us with your music.

I was listening to more Kenny music early this morning and came across this. Some of you recent Bryndle fans never got a chance to hear the 1995 Bryndle album. It's been out of print for more than a decade now, but here's the album's closer. Kenny makes a reference to surfers and the Southern California lifestyle - and he had lived and surfed in Southn California most of his life. I never heard this song too much when Bryndle was playing together - there was too much studio magic in there that couldn't be reproduced live.

Another one. This goes back to November 3rd, 1976, live at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Kenny was one of the few people that wrote with Linda and this was written by the two of them and Linda's father.

Thanks for those wonderful links, Paul. Kenny's death affected me deeply, as it did his many friends.

Kenny has gone from us but not his music and all the things he did over his lifetime that touched so many other lives. I hope all of his family and friends can give comfort to each other. May all of Kenny's family and friends find peace in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are all I have to offer. Thank you Kenny for sharing your talent and your love of life with us.
Peace and Love to all. Bill

I remember seeing Kenny with Karla in KC a few weeks before he died, Talked to him. Got his cds and took some pictures. His passing floored me. Gosh, I had seen him and he looked fine and then was just gone. I still get teary eyed when I think about. Was an awesome guy. I will miss him terribly.
