10.05.1977 Late Show Bottom Line

Hi,

On a great site called Wolfgang's Vault you can stream a King Biscuit recording of Karla's concert. Lots of other gems from that era too.

Enjoy

Wolfgang's Vault is great! Wolfgang was Bill Graham's real first name and after his death, his archives were purchased. Since then, the King Bisquit Flower Hour, the Bay Area Music Archives and other series of live concerts have been added. Some of these are live shows and others, like the Record Plant series were live broadcasts on local FM radio.

Some of my favorites are the Linda Ronstadt concerts with various bands. A concert by Clark, McGuinn and Hillman just went up last week that's really nice. There's just about everything from Springsteen to Dylan to McCartney, Hendrix, The Dead and The Stones on the headliner end to Ry Cooder, Steve Goodman, Laura Nyro, Miles Davis, and Randy Newman on the more eclectic side.

Lots of good stuff!

Access to this older live footage is fantastic. Is there a way to download the Wolfgang audio that streams? I'd like to burn it to CD so I can play it in my car. Thanks all..........JimmyG in Houston, Texas...

It's easy to record music that streams on the Internet. I'm fond of a little program called TotalRecorder, http://www.highcriteria.com , which costs all of $17.95. Or try the free My MP3 Recorder, http://www.download.com/Mp3-My-Mp3-Recorder/3000-2140_4-10369269.html?tag=mncol&cdlPid=10396920

Or if you're using a Mac, Wiretap works great. There used to be a free version, but it's all pay now. It's still worth it.
