Robin Williams grew up in Marin and attended Redwood High School as well as College Of Marin where he was active in the Drama Department in the early '70s.
Although he now lives in San Francisco, Marin locations have been used for many of his recent films. "Jack" was filmed in San Anselmo and on Mt. Tam, a few scenes of "Father's Day" were shot in Tiburon and the closing scene of "What Dreams May Come" was filmed at Phoenix Lake in Ross.
