"I like the old-time blues feel of this. We wrote this song as a kind of letter to younger musicians who are just starting out - everyone starts out overconfident and then learns some bitter lessons. It's hard, but it's great too. Don't lose faith in your ability to do something so difficult. If it's in your heart, eventually you'll come out OK. Being an artist will kill you, but it'll be worth it. Something's going to kill you anyway."
- Kenny Edwards

Rolling into town with every dream you've got
Burning with a fire that you can't stop
And nothing -
Nothing's gonna slow you down
Hungry and cold but you can do without
Cause in your eyes there's not a trace of doubt
Feeling lucky -
Never gonna turn around
We walk this road
Brick by brick and stone by stone
We walked this road that you're walking onYou're reaching out for something you just can't grasp
Taking the corners just a little too fast
You can feel it -
coming up around the bend
Hold on tight to all your plans
Cause everything you touch is slipping though your hands
And you're wondering -
how all this is gonna endWe walked this road
Brick by brick and stone and stone by stone
We walked this road that you're walking on
We walked this road
Live this life down to the bone
Walk this road that you're walking onI know you think
nothing's gonna help you know
But don't let go 'cause all those walls will come tumbling down
And you can feel the fire againWe walked this road
Brick by brick and stone by stone
We walked this road that you're walking on
