Bryndle - unreleased studio track

What the Gypsy Said
recorded 1997

This is something special - a completed unreleased Bryndle song (written by Karla Bonoff, Wendy Waldman and Kenny Edwards) with lead vocals by Karla Bonoff. This song was played live by Bryndle in 1996-97 and was first recorded in early 1997 with vocals and other overdubs added later that year. All intentions were that it would be included in Bryndle's second CD, "House of Silence." It has a nice pop feel more reminiscent of Karla's 1970's recordings than Bryndle. It was briefly released on a special "limited-run" disc sent out to record companies but never released to the public. Then in 2001, another attempt was made to re-record the song, but it was eventually pulled from the list. This is the 1997 version of the song - released for the first time. The lyrics to this song can be found on Karla Bonoff's site here. Although specific credits are sketchy, the musicians include Karla, Kenny and Wendy plus Scott Babcock and probably Matt Cartsonis. Andrew Gold was probably not on this track.
